Kimberly Clark® FATHOM Bag Material
Kimberly Clark FATHOM Bag Media

From the top down. FATHOM™ Liquid Media is engineered to provide exceptional filtration performance. The unique fiber structure provides the power in FATHOM™ Media. Thermal bonding of the continuous fiber used to create FATHOM™ Media also prevents fiber shredding that can be encountered with some other media.

It’s patented nonwoven structure is designed with an upstream pre-filter zone for high particle loading capacity and, for enhanced performance, a downstream efficiency zone to deliver the right efficiency for your application. But the difference goes deeper: With a gradient density fiber structure, FATHOM™ Liquid Bag Media provides premium depth filtration, trapping a wide range of particles for cleaner fluid streams. Chemically compatible with most liquid applications, FATHOM™ Liquid Bag Media contains no binders which could interfere with fluid chemistry.

The fibers in the FATHOM(TM) material are becomponent polypropylene/polyethylene. Chemically compatible with most liquid applications, the media contains no binders which could interfere with fluid chemistry.

Dirt Holding capacities of 2 to 3 times conventional felt bags & comparable to microfiber bags at less cost. 200?F. Max. temperature.

Oil Removal Material
Filter bags are also available that remove oil from water and water based-coolants. These bags are manufactured from melt blown polypropylene materials and can hold up to 3 to 4 pounds (2000 grams) in a #2 sized filter bag. The standard micron rating is 25. When sizing these bags, the flow should be as low as possible for maximum oil removal.
